A trailblazer in his native Israel, who introduced British and American styles of rock music to the heart of the Middle East, Misha Segal is well known Stateside for his many accomplishments as film composer ("Phantom of the Opera", "New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking", "Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon", and many more) as well as for his groundbreaking contemporary jazz CD "Connected to the Unexpected", and his "Beauty Found in Unlikely Places" charitable concert series featuring his piano solo "Female" music.
