
Fifteen Year Overnight Success
I never had a relationship with a producer or engineer where i had total trust or where they could read my mind. I decided I needed to make the record I wanted..... myself. By the time I had the pre production done i was ready to play drums. This was the hard part. I couldn't accommodate a drum set in my apartment, and i had no money for a studio. So..... the word was out..... I ended up trading time for time. I made the most of it and played 8 songs in 6 hours. I took my hard drive home and called every bass player in town to start tracking. I tried to pick the bass player for the song that suited them best. For the muscle I used Rob Giesler, (friendly reminder, full time loser, fictional wishes.) For that old school sound I used Michael Libramento, (15 years, all i got, small.) I used Jake Wolfe because he has a massive sound. (how was i to know, what made ya do it kid, all the time.)
