Leandro Roque de Oliveira, better known by the stage name Emicida (São Paulo, August 17, 1985) is a rapper, reporter and Brazilian music producer. It is considered one of the biggest revelations of hip hop in Brazil in recent years. The name "Emicida" is a fusion of the words "MC" and "murderer." Because of his constant victories in improvisation battles, his friends began to say that Leandro was a "killer" and that "kill" their opponents through rhymes. Later, the rapper also created a connotation the acronym for the name: Emicida (While My Imagination compose insanities Domino to Art).
