Zouzoulectric
Nelly Simon, singer and songwriter and Juergen Kausemann producer and musician (one of the founders of Chinchin records) are behind this project. The title track “Shim Sham” (tap dance choreography) is a reminiscence of the Savoy Ballroom in New York City. It was a famous hot Spot for Lindy Hop and Swing-dance in the 30’s. The plot of the track deals with an imagination of a love story between Frankie Manning, the founding father of Lindy Hop and one of his dance students. Also on board is the jazz crooner Iain Mackenzie from London. He performs a wonderful duet together with Nelly Simon with her unique voice. Guest appearance: The virtuoso polish guitar and trumpet player Radek Fedyk, plays guitar ala Django Reinhardt and serves a mean trombone in a melancholic and warm attitude. "Nonchalance sung" The jazz singer and studied drama teacher Nelly Simon (who also performs with "Club des Belugas" pianist Roman Babik), fell in love with swing dance and jazz music when she was very young. Jürgen Kausemann and Nelly Simon met for the first time in 2013 when he saw her performing in concert with her band “choo choo panini”. Over the next year and with meticulous preparation an EP with jazzy groovy beats and vintage sounds was born: „A retro modern music blend“.
