First of all, King's style isn't quite suited for jazz -- he's too direct and forceful. Furthermore, the songs are simply skeletons -- their only function is to let the band solo. And there are a couple of good solos, all of them from King. But ultimately, it's a forgettable exercise that should have been left in the vault.
