2011 debut album from the Soul Jazz duo. This self-titled album was inspired by '60s and '70s Soul, Jazz and Samba, typical of legends such as Freddie Hubbard, Horace Silver and classic Blue Note recordings. The Colman Brothers combine the influences of this golden age with their own deft production skills. The opening track, "Mr. DG" is a fitting tribute to Dizzy Gillespie himself, and the Latin flavored "Momo" is a quirky little number that's sure to raise a smile or two.
