This mix was taken from one continuous live 4 hour set recorded at the crazy Boge Sessions, Haven Bar, Thessaloniki. The tape rolled and the music flowed (although there might have been other things rolling and flowing as well!).

OK then, to be completely honest, I sliced away a few minutes of the intro as it seems that drums & echo work slightly better in a club in Thessaloniki late at night than thru your computer speakers. And then I got the amazing Super Space Project & Da Youngfellaz to say some supercool things thru a Roland Space Echo.

Anyways, the rest is what it was like at the club and for me that represents a night with the music and overall vibe of Paper Recordings in it purest form. A DJ from Norway playing music with roots in Chicago, New York, Detroit, Manchester, London, Bergen & Oslo!

It makes sense.

For me this is the music I went out dancing to 20 years ago and learned so much from before I started out as a producer. The DJs from Bergen like Kahuun, Erot, Balthazar & especially Bjoern Torske would play 12s that strongly remind me of the feel I get from these Paper Cutz. Also shouts out 2 Olle Abstract & Doc L Junior for schooling me on these sounds.

Paper Recordings was for me one of the most influential labels from back then and Im so happy, glad and thankful that the new Paper continues that legacy, vibe and quality control. And I was not paid to say that, I mean it and truly appreciate the honour it was for me to record this.

I wanted to capture how I felt when I was out dancing way back and want you to feel that too. Oh man, I had fun I had making this!
