FWrx Vol 1 is a new compilation album that showcasing the varied production talents of the Futureworks Media School students, past and present. The institutions record label Futureworks Music, headed up by Pete Jenkinson (who counts seminal Manchester House label Paper Recordings as his own) presents this first volume in the FWrx collection. Compiled by Futureworks resident DJ and Producer CZ, the album plays host to a wide range of genres including house, indie, electronica and folk. This is all supplied by a fine selection of talented artists and producers who have honed their skills and creativity influenced by cutting edge technology and leadership evident at this Manchester based Media facility. Highlights come from tracks turned in by renowned dub-step producer (and FW graduate) Compa, Bubblegum alt rock from Apple Shampoo, classic house from Wastepaper, and DnB from CZ; all supporting the theory the FWrx Vol 1 collection is the stage upon which some of the UKs finest young producers can present their talent, musical artistry and inspirational creative skills.
