Unexpected was created in Santo Domingo de Heredia in 1989. One day a German Producer heared the band and two months later, 8 songs where recorded in English of which seven where original songs. When finished,the recorded material was sent to Europe where it was mastered and later released a CD in France. After this events, Unexpected became the first band to release a compact disc in Costa Rica.

Currently, Unexpected is producing new material at Christian Solís Estudio in Costa Rica, in order to support any Project, organization or cause related to the prevention and fight against cancer, Human Rights, Environmental Protection and the fight against child abuse and maltreatment.
