I recorded this on my laptop in 2004. I had been listening to Sage Francis and Eminem, and was finishing up a course at Musician's Institute in Hollywood where I had learned to use Cubase and Reason audio programs. Prior to that, I had done 20 years of non-creative band gruntwork. That is essentially the work of the booking agent, manager, roadie, and personnel director. It is finding a place to play, making sure there is a complete band ready to play, and that the band gets paid. Sounds simple, but for me it was a never ending challenge.
I used the sitar sound from a Variax guitar. The bass is one of the synth presets in Cubase. My old Cubase won't even run on my current Mac. I haven't found a comparable sound in Apple Logic instruments.
