I have been singing and playing in Folk Groups, bands and a duo, "Michaels & McCoy" for over 40 years. I am also a singer/songwriter that realized when I was teaching American History to Middle School students that they learned better through songs. I began writing songs to help them learn their history. I ended my 39 year teaching career in 2011 and am now trying to record many of these history songs. "They Fired on Fort Sumter" is my first completed history song. I hope you enjoy it and even learn some important American History.
