Mike & Ally is a Canadian-based acoustic-folk duo that first came together in the winter of 2009. Meeting through mutual friends, Mike Bauche and Allyson James-Loth have united around the purpose of writing and performing music that is both heartfelt and dynamic, hoping to communicate to the listener the wide variety of human experiences that are expressed through their music. Their compilation of songs in their debut album, “The Field & The Sea” (2012) is a product of these experiences, and their passion is to write and play music.

Recorded in the den of a 100 year old house over several months and surround by friends, laughter and red wine the album captures the warmth and atmosphere of such an intimate setting. “The Field & The Sea” is a collection of rich songs that features the collaboration of two Saskatchewan musicians Mike Bauche and Allyson James-Loth.
