Tides is the musical melting pot of experience and influence through its five members, Daniel Marmolejos & Thomas Karas on guitars, Alex Gardner on bass, Tom Rubio on drums, and Maddy Dill on vocals. In the preceding years, Tides spent the time honing their craft and developing their musical identity, through a wide variety of musical endeavors. These projects pulled on many styles, such as rock, hardcore, pop, jazz, experimental, prog, and hip hop, some just through influence, and others more directly.
In summer of 2014, these five artists' paths crossed, and they started to create music together. Their bonds continued to flourish, personally as well as musically, heavily influencing all of their lives since. Over time, songs began to start finishing, where most of Tides' debut album was structured.
