Forgotten
This album includes original and contemporary compositions it also contains classics from the cowboy poetry tradition.
The poems from the "golden ages" of cowboy poetry still set the standard today, and audiences want and need to hear the all-time great poems of the past.
The CD includes twelve classic poems and one original composition, "My Flea Bitten Gray".
As posted at Cowboypoetry.com, Rick Huff in his "Best of the West Reviews" states that "Porter is an excellent and natural interperter. He puts just the right flair on it...not so much drama you feel he needs to be restrained. Steve Porter is a fine example of what I feel is needed in cowboy poetry...folks whose delivery transports you. That's the only way to really do the material justice".
Steve's CD has been given airplay on western music and cowboy poetry shows across the United States, Canada and England. "Forgotten" is currently ranked number one in the Western Music Association's Top Ten Cowboy Poetry Albums Western Charts for the second time. "Forgotten has been ranked in the Top Ten Cowboy Poetry Albums since the Fall 2011 issue of The Western Way Magazine.
In September 2012 "Forgotten" was nominated by The Western Music Association for Cowboy Poetry CD of the Year.
