This is a live recording of Tony and Michele Burdo performing ‘Wayfaring Stranger’
It was captured on the night of November 9, 2013 at the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village Concert Venue in Woodstock, Georgia. The event was ‘Cherokee’s Got Talent’ which is a talent contest featuring people from the community. Tony and Michele were asked to perform and were the last act of the night. Once they hit the stage, everything seemed to click. The sound of Michele’s powerful voice and Tony’s guitar filled the room. They began softly, beckoning the listeners to come along for the ride. Building intensity with each verse, and then bringing it way down to a whisper only to crescendo to forte fortissimo. The audience response grows with each of Tony’s percussive slaps on the guitar earning him the nickname: ‘The Percussive Guitarist’. Wayfaring Stranger ends with a roar. Tony and Michele Burdo win the Grand Prize.
