First of all, this album is dedicated to our late drummer, Dave Gary, Jr. who was a key contributor to our sound and a player with great chops. He will be missed. We wanted to capture a sound the emulates what you would hear if we were playing in your neighborhood jazz club. The focus is on Norm's vocals, but you can hear how each player's solos add to the total sound. Much care was taken to make sure that we are a quartet with no overdubs and special effect. What you hear, is what you get.
