Who or what is Awaken Aries? My name is Jesse Aaron and I am a 25 year old singer-songwriter, recording artist from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. As a child I grew up singing gospel and christian music, then in 2009 I started writing my own alternative/pop songs and taught myself Piano. From 2009 to the present I have collaborated with other writers and singers. As much as I enjoy collaboration, I have made the conscious decision to pursue the creation of my music as a solo recording artist. With advice, the creative expertise and the collaborative relationship with my producer Jared Robinson at Nebulus Entertainment I am working hard to get my music produced, my artistic visions brought to life and my songs brought to life and created at a professional level so to be heard at a commercial level.

My sound is hard to pin-point as my influences come from a variety of genres and soundscapes. I love the pop sounds of Lady Gaga, Madonna, basically most of the top-40 pop music from 2004 onward. I love ballads and pop-orchestral music, music that infuses ballads with synths and ballads with orchestras and big drums. In that way my other major influences would be Florence + The Machine, Rufus Wainwright, WoodKid, Oh Land and Hans Zimmer’s orchestral sounds. So as varied is my taste in music I like to infuse pop music with alternative sounds, but I also like to take my ballads and make them dance-pop songs. I write songs mostly about love, heart-break, relationships and the dynamics that keep or corrupt these relationships.
