Shortly after writing this song, as fate would have it, I ended up in Iraq. I have been working for the ARMY in the Middle East since 2004, and it feels great to know that we got him. Justice has not been easy, and it has not been without cost. We laid down money, lives and blood, but how worth-it, it is to have honored our fallen, To have persevered through adversity, To have overcome doubt and pessimism and to hold our head up high. I wrote two songs after 9/11 and one was accepted by Armed Forces Radio, I still have the thank you letter. The other was a little raw, maybe not politically correct. It never saw any air time, but it was my favorite and with the news today of Bin Laden's demise, it is a pleasure to now share it with you. Enjoy!
