“CLAUD RIVERS” is the debut album of the saxophonist/songwriter with the same name. And because of popular demand it is back and available for sale in CD format. This album was originally recorded and released in 1985 in the stereo cassette format. However, the digitally re-mastered CD format has become Claud’s best selling product at live performances. As a result, he has decided to re-release it here on CDBABY.COM. The CD starts with a nice romantic song entitled “With You Here.” This song is the perfect example of “Smooth Jazz” although the term was not yet popular in 1985. Claud says that it is one of his favorites because women love it. And most ladies buy the CD after only hearing this one song. Now that it is online I am sure a lot of people, after hearing it, will fall in love with and want to own this song. It’s simply great jazz music.

This was Claud’s first attempt at writing, recording, engineering and producing an album. And I will say it was a pretty good initial album. Bruce Jens
