The Prototype 3 (Already Entertainment Presents)
The Prototype III has been in the making since early 2012. Sleepy quit rapping in 2010 when he released "The Be All End All" mixtape but he started to feel empty and began writing again in 2012. After constant pressure from his friend Quan to relaunch Already Entertainment, he decided that he should put this album out. Sleepy started collecting beats from producers J_Mill, Mouse Trax, Black Sheep, and Pug, and recorded the album at Vudioworks in two days.
The Prototype 1 and 2 was about Sleepy being a different artist than the norm. This album is much of the same, but it's done on his own terms. "I make music for my own sanity. So this album is my therapy."
This is an album for the company too. Sleepy is the CEO, but was an artist first. So there's the responsibility to represent both at once. Already Entertainment is young, we have a lot to learn about the business, but we make good music and we don't want to answer to anyone but ourselves. Each artist is given the freedom to follow his heart.
