Sellie Truitt: All This Jazz

Sellie Truitt is one of the founders of the internationally known Jazz Band, The Kings Of Rhythm. This renown ensemble originally formed in in the summer of 1939, was influential in the creation of the Kansas City Big Band Sound. He played lead Alto Saxophone with the band for several years and was responsible for many of their original hit songs, such as "Hoppi'g with Hortense" and "This Wonderful Land Of Ours". During his illustrious career, Sellie Truitt has jammed with some greatest musicians of our time such as Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Charlie Parker.

Sellie Truitt's latest album, "ALL THIS JAZZ" is a stellar compilation of his finest work. At the age of 90, he is still a prolific lyricist, songwriter, composer and arranger who was most recently inducted into the Kansas City Jazz Hall of Fame.
