C.M.B Soul System is UK musician/songwriter/producer/DJ Chris Box. Debut release, "Ray Of Sun", features Nicole Mitchell on lyric-writing & vocal duties.

Nicole was born and raised in Michigan, U.S.A. Her 2011 single "Forever United" featured Phil Perry and was written by Nicole, Phil Perry and Preston Glass (Whitney Houston, Maurice White, Aretha Franklin, Jermaine Stewart and others).

Since 2010, Nicole has also been constantly recording and releasing soul/house music in the U.K, Switzerland, Chicago, Portugal and South Africa and has made many appearances on the house music charts.

Recently, Nicole has been approached by award-winning producers to write songs for A-list artists, and has been busy collaborating with Chris Box on a handful of songs for the C.M.B Soul System project.

Chris Box is a self-taught drummer (from the age of 3), songwriter, arranger, producer and also plays bass, guitars and keyboards. He has many years of live and studio experience to his name, playing drums and percussion with bands all over the U.K and has received airplay many times on BBC Radio with his own compositions.

After drawing from many different influences over the years, he has developed a wonderfully-tight, percussive, powerful drumming style all of his own - which has earned him much high praise and admiration throughout the U.K.

In March 2013 Chris also set up the "Lost In Luxembourg" project and has so far released 3 singles with an electronic/pop vibe, all written, performed and produced by Chris.

Away from the practical side of music, Chris is also a well-respected DJ on the U.K soul scene and has played at many of the top soul nights/weekends, as well as making a handful of appearances at music events overseas.

Both Nicole and Chris are hugely excited about the C.M.B Soul System project, which sees these two extremely talented artists "tipping the cap" to many different artists that they have both admired over many years, but at the same time creating something very unique and original.
