Beauty and Strength. Two seemingly mutually exclusive words which, upon further review, reflect a near perfect balance when in tandem. Think of the enduring love of a mother. Or the struggle, and concurrent perseverance of an oppressed people. The relationship between Beauty and Strength isn't merely symbolic, it's symbiotic.

What began with a mid-summer talent showcase in Harlem, blossomed into a movement. Mr. Hawkins, head of Dangerous Muzic, brought together some of the hottest underground talent in both Harlem and Washington, DC. The aim was simply to rock out, have a good time, and make the people feel good. The show was a resounding success, spawned it's own concert series, and upon linking with Coalition Media (School of Beats' Lesson Series, Shak-C's Pay Attention mixtape series), A Beautiful Strength Volume 1 was born.

A Beautiful Strength is both a definition and a declaration. A combination of heavy wordplay, soulful grooves, and potent content, all layered on top of a feel good vibe. It's the type of album you can pop in and play, with no worries of leaning on that skip button.
