Noearth AKA Hunter Erf, born Alex Rheault in Long Beach, California. The
multi-talented individual creatively combines his musical skills to bring to life a
passion that has been his awakening since a young age; more so, he has been
blessed enough to be able to fall under the titles of emcee, producer, engineer
and artist. Noearth (Erf) uses his knowledge of engineering and producing
(Reason, and Pro Tools) continually for the Southern California Hip Hop
Collective know as the CLDMKRS as well as solo endevours. The Whittier native
is one of the founding members and CEO of CLDMKRS “CloudMakers.” His love
and dedication to his craft is apparent through his unique work that brings
together the classic boom bap style of Hip-Hop and modern, darker
electric/experimental sounds. He has produced for artist such as Prof
(Rhymesayers Ent.) and contributed instrumentals and score work to major
motion pictures.
At the age of 10, young Erf became fascinated with Underground Hip-Hop
in the likes of Project Blowed/Good Life, The Pharcyde, The Living Legends, etc.,
while being inspired by classic emcees and groups like NWA, Snoop, Dre
Eminem, B.I.G., and 2pac. Saving up lunch and birthday money, whatever he
could scrounge up, for years in order to able to purchase two turntables, a mixer
and speakers to start “making music” at the age of 12. Learned how to play guitar
at 13 and was in various bands throughout high school. Attending Musicians
Institute for further musical development at the age of 18.
Noearth since then has done much, along with Thesis of CLDMRKS they
have done shows all over the country including SXSW 2013 & 2014; as well as
opened for various Artists including The Pharcyde, Problem, Dizzy Wright, Ab-
Soul, Souls of Mischief, Iamsu, KRS-one, Hieroglyphics, Living Legends, Scoop
Deville and More.
Erfs 2014 defining Solo Project Hunter Erf Thomson is the culmination of
over a year and half of work and over 30 tracks not making the cut, the story
unfolds with a gonzo-esq approach to his own tale of debauchery and travel. The
first Offical album releasing on CLDMKRS Music September 2014.
