Named after the title character in the teenage classic, "Catcher In The Rye," the band's resemblance to J.D. Salinger's brooding figure ends there. Together since 2001, Tom Cantillon, Johnny Puailoa, and Dan Moore, spent little time in the classroom after they got together in high school in Cantillon's garage to play music. With the regional success of their first album, Hot Lunch Wednesdays, the trio did something a little unconventional for high school seniors: they boarded a bus and took off across the country to play music for other high school students. Touring for the past two years, and performing at over 200 high schools around the country, Holden has sold over 10,000 copies of their albums and have over 70,000 online downloads.
