Although "Little Words" is a collection of songs about love and loss, with her folky finger picking style and quiet but powerful voice Melanie manages to lift up the listener on a breeze of honest songs. Inspired by her own experiences and of those around her, her songs are relatable and memorable. Be prepared to lose yourself in a carefully orchestrated album featuring a combination of acoustic and electric instruments, luscious strings, and sparse but engaging piano played by friend and fellow Leicester musician Martha Bean.

Inspired by an elective mix of artists; from Sandy Denny and Suzanne Vega through to Ryan Adams, KT Tunstall and present local musicians, there is sure to be something for everybody on this debut release.
