Hi, I am Eddie Minnis. I've been releasing great Island music for a quarter century! It all started in 1971 when I began as a songwriter/producer. Then in 1976 I released "Der Real Ting", my first solo album which became a smash hit in the Bahamas and several international markets including Barbados. In the following 25 years I've continued in the calypsonian tradition of humorous and satirical story telling to convey my message in an enjoyable way.
That's what this 25th anniversary collection is all about. I've gathered some of my most popular songs, combine them with some of my favorites and thrown in a few love songs into what I hope for you is an entertaining experience. Each song is flavored with distinct Bahamian rhythms and local issues, however, I'm sure you will find them still universal in nature. Thanks for purchasing this album and happy listening!
