One of the electro-soul pioneers, Colorado's own Michal Menert has been working hard expanding his sound over the past year and has formed an entirely new band respectively being called Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics. It features 5 frequent collaborators (Marcelo Moxy, AC Lao, Daniel De Lisle, Will Glazier and Matt van den Heuvel) for a new 6 piece project. Michal acts as the front man of the group producing all of the tracks and even lending his vocals on some of the tracks. This is a step in a more indie rock direction for Michal, while he still manages to carry over his signature beat driven electro-soul style. He channels various influences from hip-hop to various forms of rock, funk, soul and more for a unique live electronic hybrid that is a perfect extension of the Menert sound we've come to love.
