Bahamian born Ray Smith began his singing career working on the cruise ships that sailed throughout the Caribbean.
His captivating personality and versatile voice earned him the name "Bahamas Own". Ray has headlined Casinos in Freeport, Bahamas, and performed at the widely known Jack Tar Hotel, in West End Bahamas. After relocating to the United States, he has performed in Atlantic City, Ocean City and numerous resorts. Music critics referred to him as an outstanding entertainer who "unlike others, carries on a love affair with his audience" whether he sings his Calypso songs or popular ballads. Ray writes his own music and is plays Congo drums and the steel drum.
