Hey Guys, Akil Hamilton, better known as Akil, is a Guyanese born musician, poet, trumpet player, drummer and rapper. Akil came to America at the age of 11. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York and currently resides in Albany, New York. Like his family, Akil grew up in the church. He is currently a solo hip hop rap artist but also plays piano for his hometown church, VCC. He is the founder and President of LIFE Records.
