Mandy Cook
Mandy Cook Has Earned Her Place As A Prominent Artist In The Nashville Music Community. Hailing From A Small Farm Town In Ohio, She Moved To Nashville In 2008 At The Age Of 18 To Explore A Future In Music. In No Time She Started Sharing Songs With A Group Of Seasoned Songwriters. She Then Began Receiving Work Bringing Their Songs To Life As A Demo Vocalist, Because Of Her Unique And Polished Vocal Sound.
Mandy Forged Her Musical Niche By Pulling Classical Vocal Training, Self-Taught Guitar, And The Influential Jazz And R&B Of Her Childhood Together. She Was Raised Listening To Greats Like Al Jarreau, Sarah Vaughn, And Sade. On Her Own, She Discovered The Music Of Django Reindhart, Tom Waits, Nina Simone, And Joni Mitchell. She Began Teaching Herself Guitar At The Age Of 12 When She Picked Up Her Cousin’s (Now L.A.-Based Singer/Songwriter Kristy Hanson). Discovering The Instrument For Herself Produced A Nuanced, Bass-Driven Playing Style That Now Ranges From Beautifully Minimalistic To Jazzy And Complex.
