
Lumina

In a culture where the bureaucracy of the mainstream music business seems to rely solely on the amount of revenue that an artist can draw to justify the marketing of a product without considering the messages and creativity behind said product, Lumina wishes to set a new standard. They seek to reach fans through the coupling of positive, sociological messages with creative composition and form.
The members of Lumina all have experience playing in the local music scene, each member having been in a band since before high school. In the spring of 2000 drummer John Hoik II, formerly of the band Silk'n'Mud, joined forces with guitarist Chris Burns, bassist Justin VanNest, and vocalist Thomas Combs, the remaining three members of the now defunct Cultural Jetlag. "We come inside and they feel our
