Homer, Alaska seems like an unlikely town to produce multi-talented artists, but Trent Smith's fresh style and inspiration owe a lot to his childhood. There weren't a lot of great music teachers around, so most of Trent's ability on violin, piano and guitar was self-taught. He produced this record in 2003--a debut album, and is currently working on a new project with the Trent Smith Band. As a Christian artist, Trent is quickly gaining a following in his new state, California, opening for major label bands and playing at festivals such as Spirit West Coast. He is a full-time worship pastor at a church of 2500 and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Deborah and two preschool children.
