Formed in 2011 in Devon, Extractor (formerly Snatchtractor, a name changed because pub landlords wouldn't book us... it's too rude, see!) came about after Joe and Dave met in a local covers band. Tony (or Igor as he likes to be known), met us at a jam night Dave used to run. A three piece covers band was formed that wowed (and continues to wow) the local pub scene, but pretty soon, originals happened. We just kind of pooed them out. And they got a great reaction when we shoe-horned them into our covers set too. A mixture of influences encompassing the wide age range within the band means we'll play anything, so long as it's rock and has a good tune. The pop punk perfection of Almost Famous sits alongside the Bad Company beating Bad Day Memory and the metal with a good tune Veil of Illusion. Ultimately, it's all about the choooooons!
