Tuur Moens & Syndicate is a new initiative of drummer, composer Tuur Moens. You might know him already from his work with Ntjam Rosie, State of Monc, Maria-João Mendes Quintet, Neco Novellas (till 2009). "It's time for my own band", says the winner of the Erasmus Jazz Price 2009. The band presented their EP album "Clockwise" in Bird, Rotterdam in January 2012.

Tuur Moens & Syndicate stands for funk, world music, fusion, played and sung by a fantastic companionship, based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The music is brought with a tight horn section, funky guitars, pumping baselines and grooves. Impressive live loops with voice and percussion and a beautiful singer make the band a new sensation. You hear baselines ala Richard Bona, echoes of Salif Keita, horn riffs ala Tower of Power, grooves ala Earth wind and Fire en fusion ala Weather Report, accompanied with a great voice and energy of the singer Katerina Kozadinou. The music is suitable for listening, but also dancing public.
