Steafan and Saskia, have been professional musicians with over 60 years between them. 20 of those years have been spent playing together and with others. They have recorded on over 100 albums belonging to other artists (including Loreena Mckennitt, Uriah Heep, Depeshe Mode, Robb Johnson), but they have NEVER recorded themselves as a duo, until now.
Many people over the years have expressed surprise at gigs that they can't buy an album and are happy to have made that happen at last. Between them they play over 50 instruments, on this album, they play fiddle, viola, nyckelharpa, uilleann pipes, whistle, flute, bodhran, guitar, bouzouki, cittern, bass, djembe.
This instrumental album has toe-tapping jigs and reels and sublime slow melodies, both traditional and contemporary tunes, some of which are self-penned. If you are a player and want the dots, please contact us and we're happy to send the written music to you.
