MANIC YOUTH : the Belgian electro band with a fatal dose of rock guitar

Manic Youth is a Belgian based electro band in the footsteps of groups like Netsky, Goose and Praga Khan, but with an extra dose of rock guitar. Manic Youth was founded by Baustein, composer and leader of Guitar Studio - Contemporary Music & Guitar Coaching, along with pianist and synthesizer player Manlay.

With their less-is-more philosophy they aim an energetic live sound with minimal occupation: drummer percussionist Mr. Cozy is the third element in their trip to pure "live chemistry". Their musical influences are found in different genres of pop, rock, new wave to electro: Chemical Brothers, Moby, Faithless, Kings of Leon, Muse, ... just to mention a few. "This allows our songs to begin with raving electro beats and suddenly move on to a piece of quiet piano", Manlay explains, "while Baustein provides smooth and floating guitar strumming up to screaming rock sounds".
