Biography

Sky

Ronny Roman Bunke was born in Ahlen, Germany in 1956. In 1973 he met Memphis Slim at the Montreaux Jazz festival and set his sight on music. The name Sky was adopted in 1985 and his debut album, Dreams,
was released in 1988. Six years later he started touring with his own music. For two years he performed throughout the United States and Canada, including Kent State and the High museum in Atlanta. In 1999 he finished Union his sixth studio CD, a solo effort on the Piano, Guitar, Flute, Bouzouki, Synthesizer and Sitar.
Since then, Sky has been recording and composing new music, including a symphonic work, Love in Grace.
Sky's music is featured on over 40 compilations, including The Healing (Universal), Free Spirits (TIME LIFE) and various Best of New Age music collections.
“Sun and Rain” from the CD Born in Silence (1989) is called a classic New Age piece by TIME LIFE
and the CD Dreams is called a classic by the syndicated radio show Musical Starstreams.
