Natural sounds from the birds and environment of the rainforest weave in and out of music that takes you on a global journey - travelling through the oceans and whale songs, with influences from Tibet, American Indian, Indonesian Gamalon. Yantra de Vilder has a masters degree in contemporary music specialising in Trance music. Her thesis subject was In Search of Contemporary Trance Music where she explored the connection between ethnic tribal trance music and contemporary trance practices. Spirit of Place is composed with a knowledge of the deeper places that music can take the listener - a sonic tapestry of colours that uplift and transcend.
