Burn It To The Ground
the story so far:
When Lume began working on their new record, they made a collective decision to approach it differently than any other recording they had ever done. They wanted to write songs in the present tense-songs that articulated specific moments in the life of the band that were both real and honest. From the very first meeting with producer Mark Nash, they new the collaboration would allow them to see their ideas through from concept to completion. It would subsequently allow them to create their best record to date.
Burn It To The Ground is Statement from the band that is both refined and finessed compared to its predecessors. Whereas previous releases (Extended Play, EP2) made their mark with bleak moods and heavy-hearted guitars, the new record achieves a tunefulness that warms and broadens Lume's music. While there are still moments of darkness on Burn It To The Ground the band ultimately chooses light, without denying the gray areas in between.
