Self-Titled

Self-Titled

"Self-Titled" is not surprisingly the first release by the band Buddy Holiday. Although recorded and released in 2007 in limited quantities as a CDR, Buddy Holiday's "Self-Titled" album has now been re-released in digital format including the bonus track "Aunt Polly" which was recorded in 2007 by The Tarantulas surf band.
With a Definite 50's and 60's vibe, some of the band's stylistic influences are doo wop, punk, garage and indie-pop. Some of the bands major influences include The Velvet Underground, Elvis Presley, The Ramones, Johnny Cash, and the Descendants.
Tracks 1-7 comprise the original Buddy Holiday release from 2007 and these tracks were all recorded in one room without any overdubs.
Two microphones were placed in the room and the guitar, bass and vocals were played live and recorded exactly as it sounded in the room. There was very little mixing involved in the recording process and the stereo tracks were later mastered to even out overall track levels, etc.
The bonus track "Aunt Polly" was recorded in 2007 by the surf band "The Tarantulas" with Jarrod on lead vocals. This is the original stereo master that also appears on The Tarantulas 2012 release "Sing Song Sing Along".
The players on this album are:
Keith Martini- Bass
Jarrod Karimi- Vocals
Randy J. Shams- Guitar
