"Shade" is a celebration of simplicity, grace and serenity. It is a collection of traditional melodies and Trent's original compositions performed on violins and piano. This is a studio album, as both the piano/keys and violin are performed by Trent. His charming and sensitive style is expressed equally in both instruments, bringing together multiple performance strengths on the same album. Having grown up in Alaska, Trent now lives in Northern California with his wife and two young children who inspired much of the music on this record including the composition of two pieces, "Tiana's Song" and "Always, My Angel" for his kids, and "Beyond Words" for his wife. In a world of stress and hectic schedules, "Shade" is a welcome oasis. Enjoy.
