Growing up in a small country town in Alabama by the name of Snowdoun, Babers was never a stranger to hard work. Being brought up by talented musicians, he began singing soul and gospel songs at the tender age of two and started playing the piano at the age of three. This was introduced to him by his grandmother, Uncle Herbert, and his father and as time went by, Babers continued to teach himself. Ray Charles, Lou Rawls, Stevie Wonder and Anita Baker are among the greatest musicians and singers that Babers grew up listening to. He found that music was a great way to express himself and that was the beginning of his ever growing musical journey.
