Jerry Di others Yhefrant Omeba Soto López (born November 26, 1992), known professionally as Jerry Di is a Venezuelan reggaeton singer and song writer. Music has always been the best therapy for Jerry Di. His music style was mainly influenced by Reggaeton/hip hop singers like Vico C, Tres Dueños and Wisin and Yandel. JD claims that life taught him how to compose while music itself taught him how to live. At 20 years old, he dropped college and decided to audition for some of the best music badns in his home country. He was chosen by “Calle Ciega”, a famous Venezuelan urban music band. He performed with them for 2 years and decided to quit the band in order to start his own duo. He was highly inspired by 2 of the most popular duos at the time, “Chino y Nacho” and “Wisin y Yandel”. Starting his own duo did not go so well, so Jerry Di decided to write and compose music for other artists. He got together with couple other people and started selling their music work to famous artist like Victor Muñoz, Guaco, Felipe Pelaez, La Melodia Perfecta,Gustavo Elis, Justin Quiles, Corina Smith, Farina and Romina Palmisano among others. Jerry Di came to a point where he did not feel satisfied selling the songs he was writing and composing, so he decided to start a new project as a single performer.
