Conscience is a new breed of Canadian hip hop. Though their music is distinctly inspired by the old school, this young trio brings something new to the table fusing soulful, funky and positive music with a principal message: Knowledge is everything. Based out of Vancouver, this self-produced group is comprised of emcees Brandon ‘Noetic’ Richards and Brody “Alchemy’ Mudryk and singer Lyndsay ‘Lou Johns’ Johnston. Conscience blends Noetic’s smooth yet vehement delivery and witty lyrics, Alchemy’s introspective, complex rhyme schemes and Lou’s impassioned words and powerful, bluesy voice and lay it all on top of refreshing and infectious instrumentals that you can’t help but put on repeat and let it hit you right in the chest.
