John began to play saxophone at the age of 13 and launched his musical career in high school and church bands; he supported himself through his architecture studies by playing the saxophone. In 2002 he recorded all the sax parts for the Costa Rican rock and ska band “La Calle“ – and was so fascinated by this initial encounter with studio technology that he decided to continue in this direction. In 2005 John began to establish his own studio, primarily to record his own projects. He has recorded local rock and jazz musicians since 2007 at the studio, named “ArtinSound“ in 2009. Also in 2009, John joined a songbook project by US sax player Michael Lington, in which he worked with Lington to record, mix and produce the backing track for the book. 2010 saw the release of his EP “Lluvia“, available worldwide, with his own project AkusTicos; in September 2010 he fronted AkusTicos in Europe at the 2010 Augsburg Smooth Jazz Festival, giving an outstanding live performance with Walter “Chepe“ Blanco. Andreas Büchel from Arnsberg in Germany. Andreas began his musical training at the age of 12, starting with classical flute, adding saxophone tuition aged 16 and studying guitar when he was 20. His musical career spanned numerous brass orchestras and top 40 bands before he joined the well-known local pop/rock band “IC Age” in 1992. Andreas toured and recorded with “IC Age” from 1992 to 1998; the band released a three-track vinyl maxi-single “Stand Up” in 1992 and the EP “IC Age” in 1995. The song “Can’t Get Enough”, with lyrics and music by Andreas, hit the German charts in 1993. From 2000 Andreas concentrated on live performances of classical music. In 2010 he produced the songbook project for US sax player Michael Lington, who tours with names including Michael Bolton. In 2009 Andreas met John Odio and began to write and record songs with him. Andreas’ musical influences are primarily classical, particularly composers of the Romantic era such as Fauré and Debussy, as well as classic jazz musicians like Branford Marsalis, modern non-classical music including German rock bands (BAP, Heinz Rudolf Kunze) and contemporary jazz.
