Adil Kulmagambetov was born on June 3, 1990 in Leninsky settlement near the city of Pavlodar in the north-east of Kazakhstan, in the family of Oralbek Zhalelovich Kulmagambetov. He began to study music in his teens, at the age of 11 became involved in rap music, at the age of 15 began composing music. In his youth he changed the name of Kulmagambetov to Zhalelov (by the name of his grandfather). In 2009, Scriptonite, together with his friend Anuar (Niman), created the band JILLZ. In addition to them, the group includes Yuri Drobitsko (Yurik Thursday), Sayan Zhimbayev (Truwer), Azamat Alpysbaev (Six O) and Aidos Djumalinov (Strong Symphony). Even before the signing of the contract with Gazgolder, Scriptonite managed to release several singles that became hits, and to get fans of his work, and also became famous as a performer of "real" trep music. In 2013, Scriptonite together with Niman released a video for the song "VBVVCTND" (stands for "Choice without options - everything you gave us"). After that they became interested in the Russian production center Gazgolder. February 27, 2014 it became known that Scriptonite became a resident of this label. Subsequently, Scriptonitis admits that it was the year 2014 that became a turning point in his life. In 2015, Scriptonite took part in the creation of a joint album of Basta and Smoky Mo called "Basta / Smoky Mo". The single "Cosmos", recorded with Dasha Charusha, took the lead on the iTunes charts and became the 22nd on the list of "Top 50 tracks of 2015" according to The Flow. Video clips for the songs "Ice" and "Slumdog Millionaire" with the participation of Scriptonite gained millions of views on YouTube. The clip for the song "Slumdog Millionaire" later took 2nd place in the top of the "Best Russian clips of 2015" according to Rap.ru, and the song "Ice" took 46th place in the list of "50 best tracks of 2015" for versions of the site The Flow. In October 2015, Scriptonite was among the finalists of the Jagermeister Indie Awards in the category "hip-hop." In the summer of 2016, Scriptonite was among the contenders for the "Discovery of the Year 2016" nomination for the popular men's magazine GQ. In an interview with Meduza, Scriptonit assured that the almost finished album 3P (read as English tripy) should be released in January 2016, but for unknown reasons the album never appeared on the stated date. Subsequently it became known that the second studio album of Scriptonite will be called "Hotel Everest". The presentation of the album was scheduled for May 29, 2016, but never took place. In September 2016, the Russian edition of the men's magazine GQ recognized Scritchtonite as the "Discovery of the Year." On October 29, 2016, the Jillzay band, which includes Scryptonite, released an 18-track album, 718 Jungle. The performer took part in half of all the songs.
